CRITERIA:

Must have 5 City residents. The membership may include designees of the Chamber of Commerce, and representatives from industry, academia, aviation, business people whose businesses are located in the downtown redevelopment district and owners of property within the downtown redevelopment district whose property is the location of a current business.

DUTY:

To make recommendations to the City Commission for the purpose of aiding and assisting them on matters relating to community development and economic growth including, but not limited to, downtown redevelopment and the DeLand Municipal Airport and Industrial Park.

AIRPORT ADVISORY SUBCOMMITTEE:

The foregoing committee shall appoint an airport advisory subcommittee which shall consist of four members of the committee appointed to staggered terms for the same period of time as their terms of the committee. At least one of the subcommittee members shall have direct aviation interests at the DeLand Municipal Airport. Their purpose is to assist the City Commission in the administration of the DeLand Municipal Airport and provide advice and counsel for the chief airport executive.

DOWNTOWN REDEVELOPMENT ADVISORY SUBCOMMITTEE:

The foregoing committee shall appoint a downtown redevelopment advisory subcommittee which shall consist of four members of the committee appointed to staggered terms for the same period as their terms on the committee. At lease two of the subcommittee members shall have direct business interests in the downtown redevelopment district. Their purpose is to assist the City Commission on matters relating to the implementation of the redevelopment plan for the downtown redevelopment district.
