Let’s Honor Our Unsung Heroes!!

Eligibility Criteria

Nominees must have been engaged in volunteer activities for a minimum of one year in the greater DeLand area. Criteria will include: demonstrates excellence in volunteerism, community service, civic or social responsibility; creative use of people, resources and opportunities; role in advocating for volunteerism in the community; outstanding contribution to community service efforts; and honorable commitment to volunteer service.
Previous award recipients from the past year are ineligible.
Nominees are ineligible if they receive compensation for their service. Please do not include any work for which the nominee received compensation, either directly or indirectly.
Nomination cannot be based upon court mandated community service.
Self nominations are not allowed.
All submissions may be submitted electronically thru the City’s webpage or sent to City Hall Attn: Julie Hennessy, 120 S. Florida Ave. DeLand, FL 32720. Deadline for submissions will be Tue., October 14, 2023. Forms will also be available at: City Hall (1st floor Utility Billing); MainStreet DeLand; Sanborn Senior Center.

ALL FORMS MUST BE FILLED OUT COMPLETELY AND ALL NOMINCATION REQUIREMENTS MUST BE MET TO BE ELLIGIBLE.
