The City of DeLand is excited to host its annual holiday lighting contest starting Dec. 1!
The rules are simple: decorate your house for the holidays and share your address with us.
We'll add you to our Google Map so people can take a look at your lights.
The winner of our contest, determined by our holiday committee, will receive a gift card
to Ace Hardware of DeLand who is sponsoring this year's contest.
Contest Rules
- By entering the contest, you are agreeing to allow your address to be on a map which will be shared on social media for the community to view Christmas lights in the area.
- Decorations must be visible from the roadway.
- Only properties within the city limits are eligible for judging.
- If your address does not reside within the city limits, your address will be posted on the public map for community viewing but will not be eligible for judging.
- The last day to submit an online entry form is Monday, December 19, 2025.
- Decorations for the contest must be available and lit up from time of submission through December 23 between the hours of 6 p.m. and 10 p.m. for judging.
- Contest winners will be notified after December 26.
